MANKATO – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Performing Arts will present the 2025 Fall Dance Concert Dec. 4-6 and the Student Dance Showcase on Dec. 7 in the Ted Paul Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts.

Performances of the dance concert start at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 4-5 and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6.

One highlight of the concert is an Afro-Cuban style piece that features live percussionists from the music program. Other styles include contemporary dance, ballet and a piece by student Davaughn Lane exploring the intersection of Hip Hop culture and Vogue, a style of dance popularized and celebrated by young queer people in New York City in the 1980s.

The Dec. 7 performance is a student dance showcase, which is choreographed, designed, produced and performed by students. This performance is at 2 p.m. in the Ted Paul Theatre. Tickets are $5 and available at the door.

Tickets are $10 regular price, $9 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more; and $5 for MSU students for the fall dance concert. 

Tickets for the student showcase are $5 and available at the door.
