Dec. 13: Minnesota State Mankato to Hold Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremonies

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will award 1,971 degrees to 1,695 students at the end of the fall 2025 semester, with approximately 700 students planning to participate in commencement ceremonies scheduled for 9 a.m. and noon Saturday, Dec. 13 in Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena on the Minnesota State Mankato campus.

(NOTE TO EDITORS: The number of degrees does not equal the number of graduates because some students earn more than one degree.)

Graduates of the College of Allied Health and Nursing and College of Business will participate in the 9 a.m. ceremony. Graduates of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology, College of Education and College of Humanities and Social Sciences will participate in the noon ceremony. Each ceremony will be approximately 90 minutes long.

There are no restrictions on numbers of guests attending the ceremonies for each graduate. No strollers, balloons, noise makers or signage are allowed in Bresnan Arena. Minnesota State Mankato has implemented a clear bag policy. Livestreaming captioning services will be provided for each ceremony. Candidates for graduate degrees will graduate with the college of their affiliation.

Advanced degrees to be awarded by Minnesota State Mankato at the conclusion of the fall semester include six doctor of education degrees, three doctor of nursing practice degrees and three doctor of school psychology degrees.

Graduate degrees to be awarded include 31 master of arts degrees, 23 master of accounting degrees, 17 master of arts in teaching degrees, 10 master of business administration degrees, one master of fine arts degree, 207 master of science degrees, 37 master of social work degrees, five professional science master’s degrees, 23 specialist in educational leadership degrees and 163 graduate certificates.

Degrees to be awarded at the undergraduate level include 25 bachelor of arts degrees, 16 bachelor of business degrees, two bachelor of computer application development degrees, 16 bachelor of fine arts degrees, 1,128 bachelor of science degrees, 21 bachelor of science in integrated engineering degrees, two bachelor of science in civil engineering degrees, three bachelor of science in computer engineering degrees, four bachelor of science in electrical engineering degrees, two bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degrees, 24 bachelor of science in social work degrees, 43 associate of arts degrees and 155 undergraduate certificates.

Undergraduate students receiving recognition include 269 students graduating summa cum laude (3.8 grade point average and higher), 226 students graduating magna cum laude (grade point averages of 3.6 to 3.79) and 234 students graduating cum laude (grade point averages of 3.4 to 3.59).
