April 30: Minnesota State Mankato Hosting First Veterans Career Fair

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Career Development Center is holding its first “Maverick Salute: Veterans Career Fair” on Thursday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on campus in the Centennial Student Union Ballroom.
The Veterans Career Fair is free and open to the public and all students, in addition to student veterans, students from military families and community members who are veterans or military-affiliated. No preregistration is required. Free parking will be available in the visitors pay lot (lot 4) across from Centennial Student Union, as well as lots 20 North and 21 North.
At this event, Minnesota State Mankato and participating organizations seek to provide opportunities for student veterans, military-affiliated students and community members to connect with veteran-owned and veteran-friendly employers on job opportunities and internships.
The Veterans Career Fair will also allow veterans to learn more about veterans benefits during ongoing education sessions throughout the day of the fair. More event information is available online.

Fees for participating employers range from $400-$600. All funds raised will be donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization and a non-profit organization for the A-Board, a recognized student organization at Minnesota State Mankato.
The primary objective of Minnesota State Mankato’s Career Development Center is to provide services and resources to assist students and graduates with career planning and the search for employment.
Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,721 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 26 colleges and seven universities.
