Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Performing Arts News Release
MANKATO – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Performing Arts will close the 2025-2026 Theatre season with “The Disruption of a Routine: An Evening of Unscripted Longform Improv” in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for the Performing Arts.
Every night is a little different as student performers create scenes, characters and dialogue on the spot based on a simple suggestion from the audience. We are excited to welcome guest artist Butch Roy of Five Man Job, one of the longest running improv groups in the Twin Cities, as the director of this production.
“The Disruption of a Routine” runs April 22-25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are $10 regular, $9 for seniors ages 65 and older and children under 16; and $5 for Minnesota State students.
This production is intended for mature audiences.
The box office is open 4-6 p.m. weekdays in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available online at MSUTheatre.com or over the phone at 507-389-6661.
The Spring Dance Concert is up next, from April 30-May 2 in the Ted Paul Theatre.
