Extended Housing

Students who registered for a housing extension are able to stay in Residential Life Housing until Friday, May 8.

ASSISTANCE

Though services are limited, we are here to help!  To get assistance for a lockout, noise complaint, maintenance/facility issue, or if you are experiencing a crisis:

  • BUSINESS HOURS (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), call Residential Life at 507-389-1011.
  • AFTER-HOURS/WEEKENDS, call University Security at 507-389-2111.

MAIL & PACKAGES

Mail will follow you to your Preska address. Your room key opens the corresponding mailbox near the Front Desk. You will continue to receive an email when a package arrives for you. Call (507) 327-5924 in advance to pick up your package from the Residential Life Office (111 Carkoski Commons). Package pick-up is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday-Friday.


ROOM CONDITION REPORT (RCR)

Fill out the Room Condition Report that was provided in your check-in packet. Return completed RCRs to the Preska Front Desk.


TRASH

There is a trash room located on your floor for everyday trash. If you have large items that need to be disposed of, place them in the large dumpster located between McElroy and Carkoski Commons.


BATHROOM

You are responsible for cleaning your own bathroom. A basic cleaning kit has been provided in your bathroom. If you start to run low on toilet paper, submit a maintenance request and it will be restocked.


PARKING

If you have a car on campus, you are encouraged to park in Lot 16 green stalls. This is the closest parking lot to your community.


MAY 8 CLOSING

You will need to move out of your room by 7 p.m. on Friday, May 8. Information will be shared with you as we get closer to that date.
