What I Like About Being a Maverick: MSU is such a welcoming and enjoyable community. Through my interactions with students and staff, I have learned so much about the MSU campus and the surrounding community. People are genuinely excited about the work they are doing here, and that makes me proud to be a Maverick.
Why I Chose to Work at MSU: I first discovered the Maverick Community two years ago when I searched for Graduate Programs. I enjoyed the individuals I had the opportunity to speak with and demonstrated their high level of connection and dedication to their serving. When I had the opportunity to learn about the campus again two years later, they had taken that level of care and commitment to the next level by explaining on the First 50 days and ensuring that students are getting involved and acclimated to their academic courses.
Professional Development/Involvement/Interests: I have attended regional conferences such as Student Affairs 101, GLACUHO, and UMR-ACUHO-I. I previously served on the GLACUHO: Campus Crisis Management Committee back in the 2018/2019 term.
Hobbies: I am a semi-retired college athlete. I played Rugby for the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater and have continued to play with Men’s Clubs in Peoria, Illinois, and now in Mankato. I enjoy cooking and finding new recipes to try. I also enjoy playing video games, listening to music, and playing the guitar. I also love to go on hikes and adventures with my dog, Beau.
