Why I Chose to Work at MSU: In addition to a unique campus community, I have enjoyed the professional opportunities in this role and beyond. Within my current position, I have had the opportunity to supervise a Graduate Assistant; this has offered a lot of experience and growth within my approach to supervision. Additionally, I have been able to instruct a First-Year Experience Course (FYEX) which has allowed me to develop engaging classes and develop relationships inside the classroom.
Professional Development/Involvement/Interests: My primary interest is within leadership development and how ongoing training can help prepare students for their next transition to a potential career. In the future, I'm looking forward to getting involved with UMR-ACUHO and other opportunities.
Hobbies: I enjoy running on Mankato's recreational trails. One of my favorites is Red Jacket and it is stunning in the fall. I've also gotten involved with kickboxing at a gym in Mankato. I like to spend time reading; typically I have read leadership or self-improvement books but I also love realistic or science fiction. I also enjoy watching movies, tv shows, or playing games on Xbox.
