What I Like About Being a Maverick: As an alum, there are so many things I like about being a Maverick! If I had to just pick a few things though, it would have to be the sense of pride and community that is fostered on campus by students, staff, and faculty. Everyone is so invested in MNSU and the Maverick experience, and it is exciting to see that show up every year!
Why I chose to work at MSU: MSU stood out to me because of the student-centered focus! During my interviews and interactions with staff members, it was apparent that there was a genuine care for serving and supporting students. I am excited to be a part of a department that strives to make connections with students and make the residence halls feel like home!
Professional Development/Interests/Involvement: My professional development has included attending regional conferences for UMR-ACUHO and NASPA-IV-W, as well as attending and presenting at numerous LGBTQIA+ conferences and workshops. My primary interest is in researching and implementing support services for the LGBTQIA+ community, with a focus on transgender and nonbinary college students.
Hobbies: Hiking, watching horror movies, tending to my many houseplants, playing video games, and going to concerts.
