Education: “My entire formal education, elementary to college was in England, UK; mostly last century. Sadly, not Hogwarts.”

Past Experiences: “I have lived and worked on three continents. My first real job was as the Signage Manager at London Underground. I beat out 112 male applicants with the same qualifications. I was given a very large budget, vast specifications, six staff and sent on a mission to find contractors to produce and maintain the signage, including heritage works on historical buildings, on all 273 of London's Underground stations. Even after 20 years, I am still in touch with my colleagues and we all meet up for dinner every time I go to London. Later, I moved to the Cayman Islands. I loved working at the Cayman Islands hospital administration. I started in the Emergency Room, then as First Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer. I oversaw scribing for 30 physicians from six departments. I was acting Air Ambulance Coordinator, oversaw the Visiting Specialist Clinic and held positions on committees and boards for: Hyperbaric Chamber, Cancer Care Pathway, Palliative Care & Infection Control.”

“My top accomplishments since joining the CSU staff include reforming/organizing procedures, modernizing/enhancing practices by finding the most contemporary and efficient way through 'paperwork' while adhering to strict university policies. Making the process more 'user friendly' for RSO grant recipients and balancing multiple tasks and a heavy workload to achieve desired results while being a true team player and retaining my sense of humor.”

“The most rewarding aspect of my work with students is seeing student goals/plans develop into tangible actions, such as SAF grants, & in realizing their academic potential.”

“I like to spend my free time involved in animal welfare. It has always been a big part of my life.”

  4. What is something people would be surprised to know about you? “I don't know if it's a surprise, but I care so much more about having adventures than about having 'things'.”
