CSU OPEN MIC SERIES 

Spotlighting student music and literary talent, the "Open Mic Series" offers an ongoing outlet for student creativity. Students are invited to participate in short presentations.

Music performances should be acoustic solo, duet or trio pieces with minimal percussion and electric amplification. Music genres can include but not limited to: Original songs, pop, alternative, indie, international, freestyle, blues, jazz, country and EDM.

Literary pieces can include but not limited to original poetry, theatre monologues, reader's theatre pieces and storytelling.

Stand-up comedy routines also can be presented.

Each performance piece should be a maximum of 10 minutes in length.

Are you a performing artist seeking a stage for spotlighting your talents, honing your skills or performing for personal enjoyment? The CSU Open Mic Series may be the answer.

Student musicians, poets, comedians, thespians are being sought for this rebooted CSU program offering public open mic performances during the academic year. The CSU will provide the location and the technical support.

*Requests are considered on a "First Come First Serve" basis.

*Requests to perform at the next Open Mic must be received by the Wednesday before the scheduled Friday session. Any requests received after that Wednesday will be considered for the following Open Mic session.
