Accessible Parking and Transportation
Students and staff with state disability parking permits can purchase a University accessibility parking permit (blue) from the Cashier's office, 128 Wigley Administration Center.
Minnesota Department of Public Safety issues state permits for disability parking. The application is online at: State Disability Parking permit application
A campus map with parking lot locations can be found at: Accessible Campus parking map. Accessible parking is available in each lot. If the accessible stall(s) are full, holders of the accessible parking permit may park in any gold, purple, green or yellow permit lot stall, or time meter stalls.
Those needing a temporary disability permit must apply at the Campus Hub. Supporting and dated documentation from a physician about the temporary disability is required. The Campus Hub will issue you a "temporary" blue paper hanging permit for your rear view mirror for up to two weeks. Persons whose disability will require parking privileges beyond two weeks must apply to the State of MN for a temporary disabled parking permit. The price for a temporary permit is $10 a week but this is waived for students and staff who already have an Minnesota State University, Mankato parking permit.
The Maverick Shuttle Program will provide free accessible transportation for individuals with disabilities during Minnesota State University, Mankato class days. Pick up and drop off locations: McElroy and Crawford resident communities, university buildings, and bus shelters. This shuttle follows the route 8 city bus from 7:30-3:30 p.m.
