Each college and department within Minnesota State University Mankato is unique as are their faculty's training needs. In collaboration with the Center for Excellence and Innovation, the Instructional Design Team offers University-wide training that is customized to departments, programs, and colleges.
This service supports technology that is used for teaching across the campus. This includes tools that are specific to the teaching process for both online and face-to-face classes.
IT Solutions (ITS) serves as the primary support mechanism for D2L Brightspace and provides support and training. As D2L Brightspace is maintained (in the cloud) by the Minnesota State system office, ITS acts as a liaison with system staff. Learning Management Software (e.g. D2L Brightspace) is an application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of electronic educational technology (also called e-learning) courses or training programs.
