Computer-Based Phones Rolling Out in Call-Centered Divisions

New virtual phone solution for high traffic phone centers

A new solution is rolling out to allow high volume call areas on campus like the Campus Hub, Residential Life, the IT Solutions Center, and more to send and receive calls from one general number, just as they would on campus. The product we are using is called Jabber, also known as a "softphone." This new feature is rolling out to departments only in a phased manner by identified critical needs.

If your department or division has an immediate need and wants to request consideration for use, contact the IT Solutions Center. Individual faculty and staff have the option to forward their desk phone to their cell phone, or use Zoom for communications.
