Essential Checklist for Course Planning

Faculty, get your courses ready to go in no time! Following this quick checklist can help make course planning easier.

  1. Look for your course in D2L
    • Courses automatically appear in D2L, no need to request them! Have a special situation, want to opt out, or not seeing your course? Learn more or contact IT Solutions.
  2. Check and update links within your courses
    • Replace links: is now LinkedIn Learning. Links to no longer work. Here’s how to fix them:
      1. Log into LinkedIn Learning
      2. Find the new video URL
      3. Replace the old link in your content
    • Use single sign-on portal for LinkedIn Learning links:
      Make sure to always direct students to LinkedIn Learning through the University's single sign-on portal. Learn how
    • Replace Media Manager links:
      Kultura Media Manager is now MediaSpace. Same great software and capabilities, now integrated with the Minnesota State system. Links to Media Manager no longer work. Log in and change your URLs as soon as possible.
  3. Adobe Flash Player is retiring, update your content
    • Adobe Flash Player will no longer be available soon. Check your course content for any media that requires Flash Player and remove or replace it. Don’t forget to check with your content vendors, too. Learn more.
