I was raised in North Dakota and am very proud of this fact. I believe the “Midwest nice” and work ethic that was instilled in me in my youth, has helped me to be the person I am today. I am a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Since that time, I have spent 20 years in higher education, working in Advancement and Human Resources. I am married to a proud Minnesota State University, Mankato alumni, Charlie. We have two boys and enjoy all the activities and experiences that life brings our way.
The best piece of advice I've ever been given is give everyone the benefit of the doubt in all circumstances. You have no idea what is going on in their life that day.
The most inspiring part of my job is that everyday we get to think of ways to connect Alumni, Parents, and Friends of Minnesota State University, Mankato, back to our students. Everyday we get to find a way to give the gift of an education to future Mavs!
If I could invent a holiday, it would be Peanut Butter appreciation day. Life is just better with this amazing substance.
My favorite inspirational quote is, "Life is about the journey, not the destination."
