Coronavirus (COVID-19) Announcement

Beginning March 16, 2020 Minnesota State Mankato is canceling all on-campus visits, local high school visits, and attendance at off-campus recruitment events as a precautionary measure to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure to our university community and prospective students.

As an alternative, we would encourage you to consider registering for a campus visit presentation. These virtual visits are open to the public four times a day at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm. For more information and to schedule your virtual campus visit register for a first year student virtual campus visit or register for a transfer student virtual campus visit.

How are we serving students during Covid-19?

  • Undergraduate Application Fees are Waived Through May 1, 2020

  • No deadline to confirm enrollment for the fall of 2020

Given all of the uncertainty during the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Minnesota State Mankato will provide as much time as necessary for students and families to make decisions about their college choice.

  • Flexibility on ACT/SAT Scores

We will make admission decisions based on high school transcripts and GPA for students apply for the fall of 2020 that do not have ACT or SAT scores and are unable to take the test this spring. Students missing test scores will not be required to submit them prior to enrolling for the fall of 2020.

  • Accommodating Pass/Fail Grade Systems

Students will not be penalized in our admissions process if their school moves to a pass/fail grading system for this spring term. We consider cumulative GPA in our admission decisions and will consider a "P" grade as a positive grade trend for the spring of 2020 in our consideration of admission appeals.

We sincerely appreciate your interest in Minnesota State Mankato, as well as your patience and understanding as the situation evolves. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Admissions Office at 507-389-1822.
