What was your favorite part about being a college student?
Being independent, taking full responsibility for my learning. I also loved living next to other students in the dorms. I was nervous the first week, but the welcoming community and campus first-week activities made me feel at home.
What is the craziest thing on your bucket list?
Backpacking across Spain, France, and Italy. I walked about 100 miles of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, but I hurt my foot and had to stop. It’s on my bucket list to go back and give it another try.
Advice to incoming Mavericks?
Try to embrace every moment of your first year of college. Your first year only happens once and it goes so quickly. Challenge yourself socially and academically so you get the most out of your time here!
The best thing about Minnesota State University Mankato?
MSU Maverick’s hockey games in the fall and winter. I’ll usually go to Pagliai’s Pizza in downtown Mankato and then walk down to the game.
When you aren’t working what are you doing?
I’m probably outside running, biking, camping, or snowboarding. If I’m at home, I’m usually attempting DIY projects and getting in way over my head.
