Minnesota State University, Mankato’s goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 within our campus and additional locations. The applicability of the safety color levels is determined by the President’s Cabinet and is based on factors contained in this guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health along with advice from campus and local public health officials.
Yellow status triggers the kinds of safety measures we have already taken on our campus, in addition to the following:
- Extra mitigation efforts like canceling campus events and limiting social gatherings.
- Reinforcing health etiquette expectations.
- Operating classrooms at partial capacity to allow for safe social distancing.
- FlexSync courses allow the option of students to attend in-person.
