Arlinda Penner '07

Nicollet County Public Health Supplemental Nutrition Program Coordinator for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

Originally from California, I have lived in Minnesota for over 20 years and am proud to call Minnesota home.  I graduated from the Family Consumer Science Department with a degree in Dietetics.  I attended Minnesota State Mankato as a nontraditional student. However, I was actively involved in the Food Science club and  was a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron honor society.  I then completed my Dietetics internship through the University of Delaware distance learning program.

I worked at Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato for 8 years before I briefly taught Health 101 at the University as a grad assistant.  My current position is with Nicollet County Public Health where I serve  as the Supplemental Nutrition Program Coordinator for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.

Married for over 26 years, my husband and I have two beautiful children and a 4year old terrier pup.  Our daughter is a recent graduate of Minnesota State Mankato, class of 2019.  Our son is currently a sophomore there.

As a proud alum, you will find me supporting many different Maverick athletic events. I will always be donning my purple and gold to show my pride. I enjoy traveling with my family, healthy cooking and staying active. I am in my second term as an Minnesota State Mankato Alumni Board member and I am honored to represent the University.  Go Mavs!
