WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR COLLEGE MAJOR?

I was initially pursuing nursing at a two-year college in Virginia. After taking science classes, I realized how much I enjoyed learning about science, especially biology. I decided to change my major from nursing to biology. Therefore, I transferred to MSU, Mankato to complete a bachelor’s degree in biology.

Why are you Passionate about advising?

I owe the advisors I worked with during my undergraduate career a lot. Their guidance and support helped me graduate on time. Now, I am sitting on the other side of the table helping students. I enjoy getting to know students, making meaningful connections, and walking with them through their academic journey. I am delighted to be there when I see my students reach their goals!

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

My favorite ice cream flavors are chocolate with chunks of chocolate and vanilla with chunks of pecan (or walnut or pistachio).

Fun Fact:

My life is full of journeys in different parts of the world. I came to the U.S.A. as an international student and lived/traveled in Europe and Canada. I can’t wait to discover other parts of the world. What I am very interested in learning about different countries, other than the culture and nature, is the practice of higher education.
