Welcome… I’m your LCC, Dulce Salazar!

I am so excited to meet you in the fall. I will be a resource for you as you navigate through your first year of college here at Minnesota State University, Mankato! Being involved with the Anatomy of Nursing Learning Community will help you academically as well as socially, so utilize me and your peers as much as you can! 

 

Major: Nursing 

 

How/what made you decide this major? I have always had a passion to help and care for those in need. Over the years, I have loved how supportive and kind my nurses have been, which made me want to be a nurse and help others. Now I aspire to be a nurse midwife in the future! 

 

Year in School: Sophomore 

 

Hometown: Blaine, MN 

 

Favorite Food: Chicken Alfredo 

 

Advice for LC Students: Get involved and participate! Go to as many events you can, they’re fun and a great way to meet people. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and put yourself out there.  

 

Smartest thing you ever did/best decision you ever made: Coming to MNSU and getting involved on campus!  

 

Favorite thing about MSU: I love the community here. There’s lots of opportunities to get involved and meet others with similar interests.  

 

Campus/LC Involvement: I was a part of the first-generation learning community my first year and now I’m excited to be the coordinator for the Anatomy of Nursing Learning Community. I’m also a part of the Maverick Machine as a member of the color guard.  

 

Favorite thing to do in Mankato: Going shopping at the mall, going on walks around the city, and getting boba! 

 

Favorite things to do outside of school/coursework: Hang out with friends, watch movies, and go shopping.  

 

Anything else we should know about you? My favorite show is Grey’s Anatomy!
