Global Mavericks Learning Community

The Global Mavericks Learning Community provides an inclusive environment for students who are interested in Global and Intercultural competency, cultural and social exchange. This Learning Community is for both international and domestic students who would like to find a common ground and learn about shared interest and have goals of building community in our local/global world.

Fall Courses

(enrollment is required unless college credit is already earned for the course or an academic advisor recommends changes):

  • ETHN 150: Multicultural/Ethnic Experience

Where you'll live

We encourage you to live on campus with others in your Learning Community because that's where much of your networking and informal learning takes place. However, we understand that is not ideal for all students.

If you choose the Learning Community housing, you will be assigned to renovated double room (Crawford A, B, D, McElroy E, F, H or Preska I).  Renovated rooms have in-room air-conditioning and share a community bathroom with the floor. Learning Community students are housed with other students in the same learning community.

If you do not choose the learning community housing and plan to live on campus, it will be your responsibility to choose a housing location after the time-slot provided to you by Residential Life.
