Summer Outdoor Film Series Begins June 14

Mankato, Minn. – For the third summer in a row, the Mankato-area community is invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs along with families and friends to a free summer outdoor film series that begins Thursday, June 14 at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Student Activities at Minnesota State Mankato, with assistance from the University’s Centennial Student Union, will host three outdoor films on campus beginning Thursday, June 14 with a screening of “Black Panther” (PG-13 rating). Films will start at 9 p.m.
The outdoor films (all rated PG-13 or lower) are open to the public as well as the campus community. Each film will be projected onto an outdoor movie screen in the amphitheatre, located between the Centennial Student Union and Memorial Library, with free parking available in Lots 4 and 11A (click here for map).
Popcorn, candy and beverages will be available for purchase. In case of inclement weather, films will be shown in Ostrander Auditorium, which is located in Centennial Student Union.
Other movies in this summer’s series include “Space Jam” (PG) at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 19 and “Frozen” at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2.
The outdoor film series is a part of a summer programming series sponsored by the Centennial Student Union and Student Activities.
