Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Residential Life is offering expanded move-in dates this fall in an effort to reduce the amount of students moving in at any one time during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Instead of its originally scheduled Aug. 20-23 move-in weekend, Minnesota State Mankato has expanded its move-in dates to Aug. 17-23. Fall semester classes begin Monday, Aug. 24.

The University has also invited students living on campus this fall to move the bulk of their belongings into campus residence communities during optional “drop & go” sessions that began Saturday, Aug. 8 and continue through Sunday, Aug. 16. The “drop & go” option allows students to return home before moving into their campus residences between Aug. 17-23.

The Aug. 8-16 “drop & go” time slots are available from 9-11:30 a.m., 12:30-3 p.m. or 4-6:30 p.m. Students may each bring up to two guests to assist in the “drop & go” moving process.
