This locally sourced meal-delivery service provides fresh and seasonal meal kits. Another standout feature is the award-winning chefs that create easy-to-make recipes. All ingredients are locally sourced by our growing region, while reducing food and packaging waste. Local Crate is committed to connecting people to real food and providing a unique culinary experience.”

The Richard R. and Mary L. Schmitz Endowment for Opportunities in Food Entrepreneurship, which was founded in 1999, creates scholarships and supports the annual Richard Schmitz Food Entrepreneurship Series. The lectures provide an opportunity for Minnesota State Mankato’s College of Business to engage the growing sector of agri-business with students, alumni and friends in a format that educates the community about growing needs in the agriculture world.
