MANKATO – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre & Dance will continue the 53rd season of Highland Summer Theatre with “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.”

This is the hilarious tale of Monty Navarro, who is the black sheep of the D'Ysquith family. When penniless Monty’s mother passes away, he finds out he is ninth in line to inherit a dukedom. This fast-paced musical tells the story of how Monty decides to eliminate the other eight heirs standing in his way, and the wacky ways he goes about slaying the eight family members, all of whom are played by the same actor.

“A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” runs June 12-15 at 7:30 p.m. in the newly renovated Ted Paul Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Tickets are $22 regular and $19 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more.

Next up in Highland Summer Theatre is “Shadowlands” and “Sister Act” will close the season.
