KMSU General Manager Jim Gullickson Receives Ampers Career Achievement Award

a person holding a recordMankato, Minn. – Jim “Gully” Gullickson, general manager of KMSU 89.7 FM, the campus radio station at Minnesota State University, Mankato, was recently honored with a “Career Achievement Award” by Ampers, an association of 18 independent community radio stations in Minnesota.

Gullickson recently announced his retirement from Minnesota State Mankato after serving for 17 years as KMSU’s general manager. He has spent the past 37 years of his career working in radio.

A retirement party for Gullickson will be held Sunday, June 30 from 2-5 p.m. at Pub 500 in Mankato (500 S. Front Street). There will be live music by the Electrifryed Ensemble (featuring KMSU hosts Shelley Pierce and Joe Tougas), and DJs and other radio personalities will also be in attendance.
