Mankato, Minn. - Minnesota State University, Mankato's Department of Music & Entertainment Industries will host three concerts during the last week of the fall semester. Upcoming music concert events include:

Nov. 30: Concert Band

The Concert Band will perform on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood. The ensemble is directed by Amy K. Roisum Foley. The concert will feature holiday themed music along with traditional concert wind band literature.

Dec. 4: Jazz Mavericks and Contemporary Singers Holiday Concert

The Jazz Mavericks and Contemporary Singers will perform on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. The concert takes place in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood. Douglas Snapp directs the instrumental jazz bands. The Maverick Fusion and Vocal Precision a cappella vocal groups are co-directed by Snapp and Stephanie Thorpe. The program will include big band arrangements and popular a cappella versions of traditional seasonal favorites.

Dec. 5: Holiday Choral

The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will perform their annual holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. The concert theme is, “Let Your Heart Be Light.” The concert performance is at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 632 South Broad Street in Mankato. The groups will perform music of the season along with a mix of repertoire from Renaissance to contemporary.

Concert admission for these events is $9 for general admission and $7 for students and children. Current University students are admitted free with a valid MavCard.
