Campus Status Update
Minnesota State University, Mankato’s goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 within our campus and additional locations. Achieving this goal requires full cooperation among students, employees, and members of our campus community. Only through a cooperative effort, can we establish and maintain the safety and health of our University.
Last Updated: September 16, 2020
NOTE: On August 19, 2020, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) recommended that colleges and universities should start their fall 2020 semester in yellow status.
Yellow status triggers the kinds of safety measures we have already taken on our campus:
- Required face coverings
- Enforced social distancing in classrooms and encouraged throughout campus
- Required daily screenings for all students, employees and visitors
- Mixed in-person, FlexSync, and online course delivery
- Limited on-campus events
Data by Campus, Community and Minnesota State System Office
NOTE: Previously, we were asked by MDH and the Minnesota State System Office to report active student cases and active student cases with campus contact based on a two-week window. This week, System Office guidance has changed our reporting window to a one-week tally. This week’s reporting reflects that change and synchronizes our reporting with the Minnesota State System Office Dashboard.
Community Data (last updated September 18, 2020)
