Sept. 9-17: Constitution Day Display

Mankato, Minn. -- Constitution Day 2021 in the United States is Friday, Sept. 17, and Minnesota State University, Mankato has created a special display of books and government records in Memorial Library as part of its annual observance of the day.

The display opened Sept. 9 and is free and open to the public. It is located in Memorial Library’s Government Documents section, which is housed on the first floor near the Library Commons area.

Constitution Day (or Citizenship Day) is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is traditionally observed on Sept. 17, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787 in Philadelphia.
