Oct. 23: Comedian, Social Media Star Charlie Berens to Perform at Minnesota State Mankato

Mankato, Minn. –Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Student Events Team announced that comedian Charlie Berens will perform at Minnesota State Mankato on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The comedy show is for all ages, and tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. online at www.mnsuevents.com or in person at Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Activities front desk, located in Centennial Student Union, Room 173.

Ticket prices are $30 for the general public, $5 for family members of Minnesota State Mankato students and free for Minnesota State Mankato students.

Free event parking will be available in Lots 20 and 21, which are located adjacent to Blakeslee Stadium on campus.

According to his website, Berens is an emmy-winning journalist, comedian, host and creator of the Manitowac Minute. The Wisconsin native has been featured on Fox, CBS, Funny or Die, TBS Digital, Variety, MTV News and more. According to promotional material provided by Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Events Team, Berens has achieved fame for his viral social media videos and collaborations with other social media influencers. Berens “Husbands of Target” video has achieved over 76 million views online, according to a Student Events Team event preview. Other Berens videos include “Midwest Nice,” “Cow Vs. Deer” and “Midwest Voice Translator.”

Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Events Team and Radio Mankato are sponsoring the comedy show, and Kwik Trip is the presenting sponsor.

Student Events Team is a student-led organization that produces fun, interactive, educational events where students make lifelong memories and celebrate their Maverick pride.
